ECOELASTIKA is responsible for the transportation and storage of old tires, which are then delivered to RETIRE's facilities for mechanical granulation and the production of various recycled products.

Additionally, RETIRE offers direct collaboration with companies wishing to dispose of their waste for recycling.

RETIRE is the most advanced facility for the final processing and utilization of used tires.

Production Process

During processing, tires are mechanically granulated, and metal, synthetic fibers, and any other foreign materials are removed, ensuring a final rubber product of maximum purity. This results in rubber granules of almost absolute purity, free from fibers and metals.

Specifically, rubber granules can be used in the following applications:

• Construction of rubber floors
• Playgrounds, sports facilities, football fields, 5x5 courts, racetracks, tartan tracks and plastic turf (where the granules are used as one of the filling materials)
• Road construction, mixed with other materials to create a substrate
• Insulation applications for noise reduction
• Construction of river dams

By-products from this process include steel and synthetic fibers (linen). RETIRE is the only tire recycling company with a dedicated production line for powder sized below 0.4mm. Using state-of-the-art machines and ventilation filters, we produce final products of exceptional purity (99.99%), ensuring they are homogeneous and fully marketable.

Rubber Tiles

Since 2021,  RETIRE has been operating a new rubber tile production unit, utilizing rubber crumb derived from the recycling of old tires. Our rubber tiles are produced using advanced Italian-made SALVADORI machinery.

The unit is fully automated, featuring a precise mixing system that ensures the ingredients are blended in exact quantities to meet specific requirements. Additionally, the automatic double-mold press manages all production parameters and regulates the continuous production cycle.

Τα ελαστικά πλακίδια είναι ιδανικά για παιδικές χαρές, χώρους εκγύμνασης και παντός είδους αθλητικών εγκαταστάσεων, καθώς το επάνω μέρος της επιφάνειάς τους μπορεί να καλυφθεί με παρθένο ή ανακυκλωμένο EPDM διαφόρων χρωμάτων, καθιστώντας τα απόλυτα ασφαλή για όποιον τα χρησιμοποιεί.
